Plant Controller Job Warren area,Ohio USA,Finance & Banking

Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information to analyze operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
Standardize financial reporting and analysis across a manufacturing plant network.
Leads and develops the Accounting Department personnel.
This individual motivates the staff to perform at peak performance, recommends training requirements, compensation levels and handles the day-to-day people management of the department.
Standard Cost Analysis with all aspects of inventory, overhead & labor.
Maintains the company’s system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
Prepares reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and future operations.
Supports the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts.
Responsible for annual standard cost budgets.
Institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances.
Performs tax planning and complies with all federal, state and local, corporate, payroll, census filings and other applicable taxes.
Furnishes internal reports.
Revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient.
Furnishes external reports as necessary.
Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions.
Manages the audit process for internal and external auditors.
Routinely travels to plants; works with and manages on-site accounting/finance teams; develops relationships with plant leadership and stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required skills/Abilities

Experience managing the control function in a multi-plant network
Experience with financial statement reporting, variance analysis and presentation
Experience in accounting systems including deployment and integration of new ERP system.
Experience with managing staff and interacting with key management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Initiative, self-motivated and self-directed
Knowledge of basic principles and practices State and Federal employment laws and regulations.
Strong knowledge of and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Continuous improvement mindset – always looking to improve performance of the team and processes of the department and company.
Willingness to travel up to 30% to manufacturing sites.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsor ships are not available
