Direct Support Professional

We are seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

Duties

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Implement individualized daily living activities tailored to each individual's needs and preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and document as needed
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs to ensure individuals can participate in community activities.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for individuals by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• HSD or GED preferred, but not necessary
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record-required
• Current auto insurance and transportation- required
• Ability to perform daily living tasks, including hygiene assistance if needed
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with individuals
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including afternoons, evenings, or weekends. Some benefits may require a waiting period.
