Overview
The Polysomnographer conducts sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders. They score polysomnograms for apnea, narcolepsy, and insomnia in accredited sleep centers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sleep study techniques and patient care, with experience in sleep labs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform polysomnography studies to monitor sleep patterns.
- Prepare patients and ensure sensor placement.
- Operate and maintain polysomnography equipment.
- Analyze sleep data and collaborate with specialists.
- Document procedures in EHR systems like Epic.
- Manage inventory of sleep study supplies.
This position is critical for diagnosing sleep-related conditions.
