We are seeking a professional, patient-focused Front Office Specialist for our physician office in Warren, Ohio. Serving as a patient's first point of contact, this role is essential to delivering the high standard of care our community expects.
The RoleIn this position, you will welcome visitors, manage incoming communications, and oversee the patient registration process. You will play a key role in securing accurate medical, financial, and insurance details to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-In:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing the check-in process and distributing necessary intake paperwork. - Communication:
Efficiently answer inbound phone calls, route inquiries to the appropriate staff, and record accurate messages. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Securely book patient appointments and proactively monitor the flow of the reception area. - Financial Administration:
Collect patient co-pays, balance daily cash drawers, and prepare deposits accurately. - Data Entry:
Enter and update detailed patient demographics and insurance coverage profiles within the EMR system. - Clinical Support:
Assist the clinical team by processing pharmacy prescription requests and coordinating diagnostic test authorizations. - Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, ODH, and internal facility policies and protocols.
- Experience:
Prior experience working as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front-office setting is preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and experience navigating digital office systems. - Education:
Formative training in medical terminology or healthcare office administration is highly ideal. - Core Traits:
Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a high attention to detail.
