Manufacturing Team Member – 2nd or 3rd Shift

SUMMARY
The production worker will safely set up and operate metal forming equipment following all established processes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Machine Operation- Set up and safely operate stamping presses and metal forming equipment.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocol.
- Inspect all work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Keep work area clean and maintain all tools and equipment in good condition.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
- Perform to machine runtime goals and production expectations.
- Maintain all production paperwork as required.
- Work independently or as part of a team; willing to train others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work safely and follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures as required.
- Wearing and maintaining appropriate PPE.
- Understand all safety devices and notify management if any are malfunctioning or missing before machine operation.
- Perform quality checks.
- Use tape measure to check length, width, and hole spacing.
- Use micrometer to measure product thickness.
- Perform routine checks for straightness, bow, camber, and part dimension using appropriate tools.
- Maintain all quality paperwork legibly.
- Notify supervision or maintenance personnel concerning any machine issues that might slow down production, create a safety concern, or lead to further maintenance issues.
- Assist maintenance personnel as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Team oriented.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Military experience recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.
- Lifting – up to 50 lbs.
- Standing – 8 or more hours per day.
- Walking – 4–6 hours per day.
- Body positions – squatting, bending, flexing, extending arms.
- Grasping – both hands, up to 8 hours per day.
- Pushing – carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs.
- Pulling – tools and finished product, up to 15 lbs.
- Climbing (ladders/stairs) – occasionally.
- Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions to decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately.
- Manufacturing facility – exposed to heat and cold.
- Personal Protective Equipment required at all times.
- Noisy environment.
- Activity level high – continuous overhead crane and forklift movement.
