Machine Operator – $17.00/HR – Temp-to-Hire
Parkman, OH Area
Mancan Staffing is seeking Machine Operators for a growing manufacturing company in the Parkman, Ohio area. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a second-chance employer**.
Pay
$17.00 per hour
1st Shift
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Operate assigned machines and lathes to manufacture products according to specifications.
- Operate equipment within established programmed runtime requirements.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality
, identifying and addressing potential issues before defective products are produced. - Inspect and measure finished products according to specifications.
- Use calipers and a comparator to verify product quality and dimensions.
- Maintain calipers and measuring equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate production logs using the VET system
. - Immediately notify a supervisor of equipment, tooling, or lathe problems.
- Ask for assistance when needed to prevent defects, material waste, and unnecessary downtime.
- Monitor material levels and notify supervisors when materials are running low or production runs are nearing completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Maintain dependable attendance and report to work on time as scheduled.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating lathes is a plus.
- Experience using calipers, comparators, or other precision measuring tools preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic computer skills for production documentation.
- Ability to follow specifications and established production procedures.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
