Press Room Laborer / Operator
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Overtime: Additional overtime may be required
Environment: Industrial manufacturing
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Press Room Laborer/Operator to assist with daily production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves operating various types of equipment to bend, form, buff, grind, straighten, and assemble metal parts.
Job Duties
- Operate production equipment used to manufacture, grind, buff, form, or assemble metal parts.
- Lift and position materials and work pieces into designated machine areas.
- Bend, straighten, form, and finish metal components as required.
- Assist with maintaining supplies and materials to keep production running efficiently.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Accurately complete quality check sheets, production tags, and other required documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Work cooperatively with other production employees to meet daily production goals.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Basic working knowledge of presses preferred.
- Ability to use and read calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
. - Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
This is a hands-on industrial position that requires standing for extended periods and frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. Employees must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must also be comfortable working 8–12 hour shifts when overtime is required
.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing facility around production equipment and forklift traffic. The facility is not climate controlled
, so employees may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures, moderate noise, dirt, and dust.
