Quality Assurance Technician
Kelly Services is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician on behalf of a global leader in radio remote control, engine and generator control panels, and cloud-based monitoring/control solutions.
$22.00 – $25.00 Based on Experience
Start Time 7 am – 8 am & End Time 4 pm – 5 pm M – F
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audits across departments, ensuring process compliance and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate CAPA processes, guide cross-functional teams using root cause methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone), track corrective measures, and verify effectiveness.
- Manage lifecycle of quality documentation (work instructions, procedures, manuals) with version control and accessibility.
- Support Material Review Boards (MRB) and collaborate with suppliers on quality performance.
- Analyze and report key quality metrics (DPPM, COPQ, FPY) for management reviews.
- Perform detailed incoming inspections and document any nonconformances.
- Implement data-driven initiatives to streamline QMS processes and reduce waste.
- Coordinate and facilitate registrar audits and customer quality assessments.
Requirements:
- Auditing
Experience:
Internal/lead auditing within a regulated environment; ISO 9001 preferred. - Problem Solving:
Experience in structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC). - Analytical
Skills:
Ability to evaluate quality data and produce actionable reports. - QMS Literacy:
Deep understanding of document control and quality standards structure. - Communication:
Exceptional written/verbal skills; capable of drafting procedures and presenting findings. - Technical Literacy:
Able to interpret engineering drawings/schematics/technical specs. - Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP/QMS software experience is a plus. - Electronics Manufacturing:
Preferred but not mandatory. - Supplier Compliance:
Experience with certification processes (REACH, RoHS, Prop
65, TSCA, PFAS) a bonus.
Education & Experience:
- Degree:
Bachelor's in technical/business field preferred; equivalent QA professional experience considered. - Experience:
Minimum 3 years in QA role demonstrating above competencies.
