Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed, and occasionally work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00 to $15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
- Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 12–15 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Utilize a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for daily work, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys required for merchandising activities. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support:
In addition to seasonal demand, you can expect extra days and extended hours during work weeks around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On some holidays, you may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers that may support other team members as needed in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also need to kneel, squat, walk, and stand continuously, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Skill in operating a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
