Plant Maintenance Technician

Waste Management (WM) is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our waste processing facility operating safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, compactors, loaders, and other industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime. You'll work closely with operations to support safe, compliant, and reliable plant performance. Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment including conveyors, compactors, balers, and loaders
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and tests
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, prioritize critical repairs, and document work in CMMSFollow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements
• Collaborate with operations staff to plan maintenance around production needs
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment and components
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly handle waste and replacement parts
• Communicate equipment status, risks, and repair needs to supervisors and vendors
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives at the facility
