This position supports the nursing department by managing clerical operations, supervising staff, and handling detailed information that affects department efficiency and hospital compliance. As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Office Coordination: Oversee clerical operations, manage schedules, and support daily workflow in the nursing department
- Staff Supervision: Assign tasks, review completed work, offer guidance, and conduct performance evaluations for clerical staff
- Information Management: Prepare reports, maintain confidential records, update databases, and ensure accuracy across all documents
- Communication Support: Screen calls, assist leadership with correspondence, manage calendars, and gather information for reports
- Record Processing: Organize mail, type and proofread documents, maintain staff files, and support compliance with regulations
- Supply Oversight: Track inventory, process requisitions, and ensure equipment and supplies meet department needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel:
As needed - Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
