Position:
Focus Room Supervisor at Martin Warren Elementary School
- Completion of 60 college credit hours
- Supervise students who have been referred to the Focus Room to provide support while working through behavioral issues.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, other staff members, and community agencies in the implementation of behavioral and instructional plans for students.
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to encourage and reinforce appropriate problem‑solving skills.
- Facilitate problem‑solving model with individual teacher and team working with chronic offenders.
- Document recovery activities.
- Adapt materials, as suggested by teachers, in order to meet student needs.
- Interact positively with students and model appropriate behavior.
- Provide assistance to students as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and other information shared about students.
- Participate in requested training responsibilities, including Behavior Intervention Support Team (B.I.S.T) training, as requested.
- Complete other trainings, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Performance of this position will be evaluated according to board policies by the Building Administrator.
