Position: Student Employee - Agricultural Curriculum Support Specialist - Graduate Only

The Department of Agriculture is seeking motivated Graduate Student worker(s) to support faculty with curriculum development and refinement across animal science, crop and horticultural sciences, and/or agribusiness areas. This position provides an excellent opportunity for graduate students to gain experience in higher education academic program development within while contributing to high-quality undergraduate agricultural education. This is a grant funded position.

Duties Include
  • Assist faculty with developing and updating course materials and curriculum content.
  • Support review and refinement of existing coursework for clarity, relevance, and alignment with industry and accessibility standards.
  • Conduct research on emerging trends, topics and best practices, as needed to update concepts.
  • Help organize instructional resources and learning materials within the university learning management system in order to achieve accessibility compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support related to curriculum projects
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a related field (biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, etc.)
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree at UCM in good academic standing
Experience Qualifications
  • Background or coursework in animal science, plant sciences, and/or agricultural business.
  • Background or coursework in curriculum development.
  • Strong written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty.
  • Computer skills:
    Word-Processing, Excel/Sheets, Adobe
Working Hours and Days
  • Monday - Friday, flexible hours, up to 20hrs/week
