Student Employee - Chemistry Stockroom - Fall

This is a part-time, entry level position in the Chemistry program.

• Provide support to Chemistry faculty, students, and staff in the Chemistry Stockroom.
• Prepare labs, wash labware, set up/tear down experiments.
• Provide service at Stockroom Service Window.

• Minimum 12 credit hours completed.
• Chemistry majors and minors preferred.
• Must have completed Chem I with a grade of “C” or higher.
• Must be enrolled full-time at UCM for Fall 2025.

Be sure to also include complete contact information, major, year in program, Fall 2025 course schedule, and chemistry courses completed at UCM or elsewhere.

• 6-12 hours per week, schedule based on student's enrollment schedule and Stockroom coverage needs.
• Between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.

• Excessive standing and/or walking.
• Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals.
• Lifting (weight) up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional temperature fluctuations.
• Dress appropriate for working in a chemistry laboratory including long pants, sleeved shirts, enclosed shoes, as well PPEs including goggles and gloves as necessary, will be required.
