Student Employee - TRIO Teach Peer Mentor

Peer Mentor  Provide peer mentoring; support project staff in the outreach and intervention; meet individually with students identified in early-alert; and maintain confidentiality and provide accurate documentation of students served, including any concerns or issues a student is experiencing that may impact academic performance.
Outreach to struggling or non-responsive students.
Upperclassmen status in teacher education, a minimum 2.75 GPA.
Excellent communication, organization, time-management and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of effective academic skills; capacity to work with students from diverse backgrounds; prior peer mentoring or academic success coach experience preferred.
