Elliott Student Union Building Attendant

Under the direction of the Union Facilities Operations Manager, the Elliott Student Union Building Attendant welcomes guests and acts as a resource for patrons in support of the Elliott Student Union's missions.

Duties Include:

• Opens and closes the building as determined by hours of operation.
• Reviews reservation report for room assignments and times.
• Greets all guests upon arrival, directing them to appropriate rooms and offering assistance.
• Alerts or communicates with the Sodexo, audio-video, and custodial staff to ensure table service, room, audio-video equipment, sound, and lighting are set up according to client requirements.
• Ensures the security of offices, rooms, and equipment during assigned hours.
• Walks on all floors at least every 30 minutes to observe activities, secure open rooms, and assist clients and student organizations.
• Acts as a resource for student staff, customers, and guests, disseminating information on scheduled functions, services, and policies.
• Posts daily room signs.
• Monitors bulletin boards, removing unauthorized and out-of-date items.
• When possible, relieves other staff for breaks and helps during busy situations.
• Attends all staff and training meetings.

Education:

• Must be currently enrolled at the University of Central Missouri
• 2.5 GPA

Experience:

• No prior experience necessary

Working Hours and Days:

• This is a part-time (10-20 hours/week) position with various work hours. Evening, day, and weekend hours will be required.

Full-time staff & 12-month faculty benefits-eligible position:
