Instructional (Non-Tenure Track) Computer Information Systems
The programs in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies have been AACSB International-accredited since 1995, and the undergraduate CIS program is also ABET-accredited. The CIS program offers baccalaureate and master's degrees in Business Analytics and Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Big Data Analytics, and IT. Instructional (non-tenure track), Spring 2027
Duties include teaching Computer Information Systems coursework to students enrolled at the University of Central Missouri's 4+0 joint institute with Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (GDUFE) in Guangzhou, China; maintaining professional qualifications commensurate with expectations of an AACSB-accredited institution; and service to the program and profession. Instruction is delivered on-site in Guangzhou, China, in English, in an intensive, compressed format, with instructors responsible for delivering the UCM curriculum and meeting assessment requirements for a GDUFE cohort.
Compensation is AACSB competitive; travel, lodging, and meal support are arranged through the partnership agreement.
Education:
Master's degree in CIS, Data Analytics, or Information Systems-related field required. Doctorate degree in CIS, Data Analytics, or Information Systems-related field preferred.
Experience:
Required:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and work experience in a related field. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport and the appropriate People's Republic of China entry visa, and to travel internationally for the duration of the assignment. Please note that the University of Central Missouri does not provide immigration sponsorship or support (e.g., H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN visa sponsorship) for employees in this role.
All applicants must possess valid US work authorization at the time of hire. Preferred:
Experience teaching international or English-as-a-second-language student populations. Prior teaching, research, or professional experience in China or East Asia. Experience with compressed, intensive, or weekend course formats.

A terminal degree in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline from an AACSB-accredited program is strongly preferred. ABD candidates and those with a master's degree will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Candidates with a closely related degree will also be considered.
