We are seeking a Programmer/Analyst to work with the Senior Programmer Analyst by troubleshooting software and hardware applications within the assigned functional areas. The role requires a deep understanding of the functional processes and system design to meet client objectives.

- Define system scope and objectives for large and small systems by working with clients to analyze business function and operational needs.
- Design systems to meet client objectives; may serve as project leader on systems, providing guidance to less experienced team members.
- Design, code, test, modify, document, and implement computer applications using products in use at the University.
- Perform all the above functions under general supervision of the Senior Programmer Analyst.
- Liaise between Information Services and clients: collaborate with administrative computer clients, assist with requests and prioritization, evaluate user requests for information and determine best solutions.
- Participate in software development projects within assigned administrative areas: maintain an accurate log of all work in progress using the Team Dynamix system; provide technical and business expertise; maintain documentation.
- Provide programming in PL/SQL, Oracle or MS SQL Server; desired skills include Java, Cold Fusion, HTML, XML and PHP.
- Ensure integrity and availability of software, analyzing, designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned software; available on‑call for after‑hours support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Four years total, including at least two years of programming and two years of analysis with demonstrable project leadership.
- Required:
Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL, PHP, and other currently installed products. - Desired:
Experience using Java, JavaScript, C++, HTML, Cold Fusion, and other object‑oriented languages. - Direct experience working with users and proven project leadership experience.
