Technical Lead, Engineering, Systems Engineer

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, is looking to hire a Technical Lead for our GBS program. This position is on‑site in Warrenton, VA. The Technical Lead will support efforts to build a Small Form Factor (SFF) modem in support of the GBS JPO.

• Lead a team of engineers in developing a hardware and software defined radio modem capable of tactical Satellite Communication (SATCOM) operations.
• Define and drive design, development, and implementation of technical solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Plan and prioritize technical tasks, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
• Lead the project through the full project lifecycle of System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), prototype, verification and validation phases.
• Ability to design and integrate waveform onto an SDR based system.
• Communicate with external stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Personnel management of technical staff supporting this program.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a technical leadership role.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and creating execution plans.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing SDR based system in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with stakeholders.

• Master's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $160,000 - $180,000
