Data Center Project Manager, Critical Projects Implementation - Amazon Dedicated Cloud

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces. The Data Center Project Manager leads critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling. The role involves project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all project disciplines and ensure consistent delivery and execution.
• Identify areas for improvement and actuate data‑driven solutions across electrical, mechanical, fire detection, building automation, and other systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
• Provide independent project management and work within multidisciplinary teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment, engineering documentation, and electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains.
• Experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, including a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Security Clearance

This position requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen and to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Salary

Base salary range: $111,300 - $186,100 annually (USA, VA, Warrenton).
