Assistant County Administrator
Fauquier County is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Assistant County Administrator. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of local government operations, capital project management, organizational leadership, and public administration, along with the ability to effectively manage complex initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication, problem-solving, and supervisory skills who can support the County Administrator in advancing County priorities and delivering high-quality public services.
Candidates should have a four (4) year degree in public administration, project management, engineering, or other related field; master's degree is desired. In addition, candidates should have a minimum ten (10) years of progressively related work experience in a political/government environment, to include at least five (5) years of supervisory experience. A commitment to professionalism and public trust is essential.
