Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to enhance our existing technical team supporting the advancement of AI/ML/Data Science technologies in Warrenton, VA.
The successful candidate will be a self‑motivated, innovative cloud engineer who will join and contribute to a team environment. They will support the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment and will possess broad knowledge of system administration, automation technologies, scripting, security and accreditation practices, and the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure.

- Must have hands‑on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.
- Experience patching and maintaining system databases, including RDS, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
- Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solutions.
- Understanding of secure‑cloud configuration (e.g., Cloud Trail, AWS Config), cloud‑security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM).
- Experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
- Experience with security, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced agile environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field, or equivalency in related work experience.
- Demonstrated on‑the‑job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.
- Experience using a scripting language.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, including installing, starting, and stopping background processes, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper‑V, or VMWare.
- Experience with an enterprise application development language, such as Python, Java, or C#, including writing simple applications or modifying existing ones.
- An active security clearance with polygraph.
