Electrical mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in a food and beverage plant. Must read and interpret blueprints, schematics, perform troubleshooting, fabricate parts, and conduct on‑site servicing.

English or French

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate OR equivalent experience

• 3 to 5 years

• Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switch gear, generators and other electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
• Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators and other components.
• Perform machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts.
• Perform on‑site servicing and repair.
• Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switch gear.
  
  Test repaired motors, transformers, switch gear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
• Read blueprints, schemas and drawings; interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Disassemble defective units and repair or replace suspect parts.
