Bindery​/Press Operator

General Responsibilities:

Operates bindery and press equipment. Responsible to learn how to operate production equipment as required. Also responsible to learn and perform various production processes as needed based on production requirements. Needs tobe focused on quality, reducing waste and improving efficiency. When process improvements are identified they needto be communicated to the production supervisor to help implement those changes.

Operates bindery equipment

Operates printing presses

Paper handling

Approvals sought and received as required

Performs routine adjustments during operation maintaining quality and efficiently

Follow verbal and written instructions

Maintains quality standards

Reports exact t ime and materials consumption

Reports any problems immediately and directly to supervisor

Appropriate use of materials while limiting unnecessary waste

Participates in "Continual Process Improvement"Completes work assignments efficiently and as specified

Organizes job that will insure delivery/transport without damage

Ensures quality of product and that product is appropriately and accurately labeled

Monitors supplies and replacement part inventory

Machine maintenance as required to maintain quality and efficiencies

Observes all safety regulations and procedures

Keep work area neat and clean

Train others as requested

Receiving and moving of materials/supplies as needed

Follows all CEF and departmental rules and procedures

Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

Operation of press equipment

Attention to detail

Able to lift SO lbs.
