American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5+ years of ER experience and night shift availability.

• Emergency Room department in a 97-bed acute care hospital
• All patient ages served, from pediatric through geriatric
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Rare floating required, only to units appropriate to skill or as an extra set of hands
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 5+ years of ER nursing experience required
• Proficient in phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and patient transport
• Self-motivated and self-sufficient with ability to perform all ER tasks independently

• Provide emergency care to standard ER patient population across all age groups
• Patient-centered approach focused on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics
• Team-oriented personality fit preferred
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
