Job Summary
This is a part‑time position providing handling for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to Meat Standards. The role also includes cleaning work areas, unloading stock, reloading salvage, providing customer service, and performing duties of a seafood clerk when assigned.
Responsibilities- Process, package, and stock meat products.
- Clean and maintain work areas.
- Unload and reload stock and salvage.
- Provide customer service at the point of sale.
- Perform seafood clerk duties as assigned.
- Age 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training.
- Basic reading and writing in English, including basic data entry.
- Basic mathematics skills – addition and subtraction of two‑digit numbers and handling of weights and currency.
- Common‑sense reasoning to follow written and oral instructions.
- Completion of company training on orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands for handling or feel, reaching, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs with a reach of 6–72 inches.
- Good vision required – close, color, and depth perception.
- Cool environment with temperatures between 34–36°F.
- Frequent exposure to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Pay range: $14.25–$20.50 per hour for a newly hired associate; may vary based on experience and skill set.
