Are you a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment? We are seeking an experienced Load Planner to help drive efficiency, maximize revenue, and keep our fleet moving profitably across OTR and regional lanes. Our company continues to expand its national footprint, servicing direct shippers throughout the U.S. With a strong fleet of trucks and a dedicated flatbed division, we're looking for someone who can confidently manage freight flow while building strong customer relationships.
WhatYou'll Do
- Plan, assign, and optimize freight for OTR and regional flatbed operations
- Coordinate driver schedules to ensure on-time service and maximize utilization
- Communicate directly with customers to maintain strong partnerships
- Secure spot market freight and negotiate competitive rates
- Monitor load boards and identify strategic freight opportunities
- Maintain accurate, real-time information within the TMS
- Support revenue growth initiatives and meet performance targets
- Ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Minimum 2 years of truckload planning
- Strong knowledge of flatbed operations preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Proficient in TMS platforms and load boards
- Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Background in logistics, transportation
