Job Title: Class B Tow Truck Driver
Position Summary: The Class B Tow Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a tow truck to transport disabled, damaged, abandoned, or illegally parked vehicles. This position responds to roadside assistance calls, vehicle recoveries, and accident scenes while providing professional customer service and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

This role responds to roadside assistance calls, vehicle recoveries, and accident scenes while providing professional customer service and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Operate a Class B tow truck and related recovery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond to dispatched towing, recovery, and roadside assistance calls.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using proper towing procedures.
- Perform vehicle recovery services, including winching and accident recovery operations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Complete required paperwork, logs, and service reports accurately.
- Follow company policies and all DOT, state, and local regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, law enforcement, and repair facilities.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service in stressful and emergency situations.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Acceptable driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
- Knowledge of towing and recovery procedures preferred.
- Ability to safely operate winches, chains, straps, and towing equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach.
- Ability to enter and exit tow truck cabs multiple times throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while securing and recovering vehicles.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and high humidity.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in high-traffic roadside environments.
- Ability to use hands and arms continuously for operating towing and recovery equipment.
- Adequate vision and hearing to safely operate commercial vehicles and work around traffic hazards.
- Ability to remain alert and perform physically demanding tasks during long shifts and emergency response situations.
- Roadside locations, accident scenes, impound lots, repair facilities, and customer locations.
- Exposure to moving traffic, hazardous road conditions, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- Requires availability for emergency calls and after-hours response.
This position requires a safety-focused individual who can perform physically demanding work while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
