We are seeking a Product & Supply Planning Manager to join our team on-site in Warrenville, Illinois
.
The Product & Supply Planning Manager is responsible for short- and mid-term production and supply planning in support of the Texas City operating plant. This role ensures alignment between manufacturing capabilities and commercial demand while optimizing regional and global supply-demand balances—particularly during turnarounds and unplanned plant outages.
Working closely with the Business Manager and cross-functional stakeholders, this position supports Americas Acetyls planning and operations meetings and contributes to safe, reliable, and efficient business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead forecasting processes and integrate supply planning into business models
- Manage day-to-day supply and demand balances in line with the annual plan, including purchases and swaps
- Maintain and support asset optimization processes and planning tools
- Ensure feedstock nominations align with outputs from Planning and Operations meetings
- Coordinate raw material purchasing in accordance with contract requirements in partnership with legal, logistics, and credit teams
- Serve as a member of the Business Support and Crisis Management team
- Plan and schedule product production in collaboration with logistics teams
- Set customer and transload shipment priorities during periods of limited supply
- Analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights beyond the numbers
- Maintain and enhance contribution reporting and embed its use across the commercial organization
- Support finance with accurate performance reporting and variance analysis for acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and ethyl acetate
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering
- 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, and/or commercial operations
- Strong problem-solving and influencing skills in a dynamic work environment
- Advanced Excel and business modeling skills; SAP experience preferred
- Solid understanding of supply chain, logistics, and customer-specific requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical capabilities
- Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail
