Opportunity Overview

We are currently seeking a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer for our Thermal Sciences Practice in Warrenville, IL. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Chemical, and Fire Protection Engineers investigating technical engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform outstanding technical work related to a broad application of fundamentals of chemical and mechanical engineering
  • Conduct field work including data gathering and documentation
  • Design and execute customized experimental programs
  • Review and synthesize documents, data, and other types of information
  • Communicate key findings to project teams and clients
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality management
  • Identify opportunities for expanding current projects or creating new projects
  • Continuing professional development through publication and certifications
  • Mentor and collaborate with other staff
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship required
  • Research background emphasizing transport phenomena, separations, process design, dynamics and control, chemical kinetics, and/or thermodynamics
  • Experience in development of experimental design, construction of experimental apparatus, instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Highly self‑motivated as demonstrated through presentation at technical conferences, publication in peer‑reviewed journals, professional certifications
  • Intellectual curiosity with a passion to explore a vast array of problems and applications both within and outside of your area of specialization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally, out-of-state, and occasionally internationally (
