We are currently seeking a Chemical or Mechanical Engineer for our Thermal Sciences Practice in Warrenville, IL. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Chemical, and Fire Protection Engineers investigating technical engineering problems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform outstanding technical work related to a broad application of fundamentals of chemical and mechanical engineering
- Conduct field work including data gathering and documentation
- Design and execute customized experimental programs
- Review and synthesize documents, data, and other types of information
- Communicate key findings to project teams and clients
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams
- Demonstrate commitment to quality management
- Identify opportunities for expanding current projects or creating new projects
- Continuing professional development through publication and certifications
- Mentor and collaborate with other staff
Skills & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship required
- Research background emphasizing transport phenomena, separations, process design, dynamics and control, chemical kinetics, and/or thermodynamics
- Experience in development of experimental design, construction of experimental apparatus, instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Highly self‑motivated as demonstrated through presentation at technical conferences, publication in peer‑reviewed journals, professional certifications
- Intellectual curiosity with a passion to explore a vast array of problems and applications both within and outside of your area of specialization
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally, out-of-state, and occasionally internationally (
