ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Production Leaders with order processing and completion.
Assist Operations/Warehouse Leaders with inventory movement between Production and Warehouse.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs.
• Respond to general inquiries and telephone calls.
• Respond to requests by researching information and take detailed messages. May be authorized to make decisions on routine matters as delegated by the supervisor. Refer problems to supervisor/manager for resolution.
• Verify information and data to ensure market compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking production and warehouse performance (including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, and service levels.)
• Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross reference information.
• Create and maintain basic charts, graphs, spreadsheets and databases to prepare for manager’s review.
• Maintain files, record keeping activities and confidential data.
• Problem resolution on a smaller or less complex scale or in a liaison role. May handle or assist in a segment of a project.
• Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

The incumbent is required to interact with managers, employees, customers, and vendors at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• The work will take place at a desk in an office environment but may occasionally require work in normal production or warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as
-5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
• Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
• Perform cross-functional activities, and work on a varying schedule.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
Education
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• One-year clerical experience
• Computer skills, data entry and word processing skills
