Salary: £30,866 – £36,135 plus 15% weekend shift allowance

Hours:

39 hours per week

• Saturday – Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 16:00
• 1 in 3 weekends (rota)
• 15% allowance for weekend working

Join a stable, long‑term contract at HMP Risley, working as part of a facilities team delivering essential maintenance across the prison. This is a single‑site role with good structure, job security and a supportive team environment.

• General joinery repairs (doors, windows, fixtures, bespoke work)
• Running the workshop (equipment checks, inspections, housekeeping)
• Measuring jobs and quoting works
• Ordering materials and managing stock

• Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery (Level 2 considered with experience)
• Maintenance or FM background preferred
• Confident using tools and working at height (ladders)
• Good attention to detail

• Prison security clearance + Standard DBS (full support provided)
