Fabric Maintenance Technician

We are recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Operative / Technician to cover Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis in the Cheshire areas. The role involves working in medical estates, completing planned and reactive maintenance to buildings. This is a permanent position paying between £34 k and £37 k depending on qualification and skill level, with a Monday to Friday 40‑hour week.

A van is provided.

• Complete reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
• General trade work and building repairs.
• Basic electrical and lighting tasks.
• Basic plumbing tasks.
• Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting, plastering, etc.
• Compliance checks.
• Handyperson duties, working alongside engineers and other maintenance team where required.

• Several years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Good customer skills.
• Valid driving licence.
• Willing and able to pass DBS checks.
• Trade background or training and prior work in the building or estate sector.
• Self‑motivated with a “can do” customer attitude.
• Good trade skills and basic understanding of M&E.
• Experience of fabric maintenance tasks and building works such as plastering and painting.
