Field Service Engineer

Location:

Engineers based in the UK, ideally within 2 hours of Manchester, Warrington or Birmingham. The role will involve some overnight stays – approximately one per week.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + vehicle (or car allowance) + overtime/allowances (£15,000 – £25,000) + pension + 25 days holiday + credit card, fuel card, expenses, and paid door‑to‑door.

Hours:

Monday to Friday daytime with an on‑call rota 1 in 4.

• Varied work including service, maintenance, installations, upgrades and breakdowns on controls and automation equipment in multiple sectors such as paper, pulp, metals, food & beverages, building products, utilities, transport and similar.
• Although the work is far more varied than just drives, we are keen to speak to people with good drive understanding.
• Work includes troubleshooting and preventive maintenance (PPM) on drives (servo, VSD, AC/DC), PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and related systems.
• Seeking electrical or multi‑skilled engineers to work in a small team of service engineers for an automation and solutions provider with over 40 years of experience.
