Full-Time, Contract - Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)  Multiple Positions Available  JOB OVERVIEW This is a great opportunity for a reliable Steel Fixer with strong construction experience, capable of shuttering and concreting. As the Steel Fixer you will work as part of a site team responsible for positioning and securing steel bars or mesh to reinforce concrete structures. The Steel Fixer will read and interpret working plans, assemble steel reinforcement and work to a high standard.

Work Area Set-Up:
Set out the work area using site plans Bar and Mesh Preparation:
Cut and bend bars or mesh Rebar Tying:
Tie rebar together with wire, clips or welds to build up sections Spacers and Supports:
Fit spacers and supports Formwork and Shuttering:
Fix the wooden formwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place Steel Fixing to Bases:
Fix steel to concrete bases Beam and Slab Installation:
Install beams and pre-cast slabs CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS NVQ in Steel Fixing preferred Valid Blue CSCS Card Ability to understand technical drawings Extensive construction experience working in a similar role Experience tying reinforced steel Capable of shuttering and concreting Reliable, hardworking and committed to working safely while delivering high-quality workmanship
