Mobile, North West (Warrington / Manchester area) - Some travel
Salary: £45,000 basic (£21.63 per hour based on 40 hours), plus overtime

An established building services and facilities maintenance contractor is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer to join its team on a major retail contract. This is a permanent role with steady planned work, and you’re paid door to door, so your travel time counts.
What you’ll be doing
Planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on commercial HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems and supply and extract ventilation
Servicing and repairing motors, fans, belts, bearings, dampers, actuators, coils, condensate pumps and associated controls
Diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical faults and getting equipment back up and running
Completing job sheets, service records and reports on electronic systems
Helping with commissioning, testing and minor installations or upgrades
Responding to occasional emergency callouts
What we’re looking for
Proven experience maintaining commercial HVAC systems
Good working knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems and ventilation
The ability to fault-find on mechanical and basic electrical issues
An understanding of HVAC controls and BMS (controls experience is a real advantage)
The ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
Good communication skills, as you’ll be working on live shop floors around store staff
F-Gas is an advantage but not essential
Retail or supermarket maintenance experience would be a bonus
What’s on offer
£45,000 basic salary plus overtime rates

Monday to Friday, with no weekend workingHours
Monday to Friday. Planned maintenance starts at 6am, so the work is done before the stores get busy. There are occasional night shifts.
