We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana – someone who will own month-end close activities, inventory reconciliations for our feed mill and plant, and serve as a trusted partner to the operations teams behind them.

Key Job Duties For This Role Include:

  • Monitor G/L accounts, perform month-end close activities, and ensure accuracy of month-end reporting.
  • Generate Journal Entries and perform Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of feed mill and plant egg inventory, researching and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Identify and research variances between actuals and budget/forecast.
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between Finance and functional areas of the Company, including feed mill and plant operations.
  • Support the month-end close and consolidation of multiple entities.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, including invoice review, cash application, and resolving vendor and customer discrepancies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for Finance and business partners.

Requirements:

You’ll Really Wow Us If:

  • You’ve got 3 to 5 years of Accounting Experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with inventory accounting in a manufacturing, processing, or agricultural environment.
  • Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience working in an ERP system.
  • You are comfortable spending time on site at the feed mill and plant, working shoulder to shoulder with operations.
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy.
  • Meet firm deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience in Financial and Managerial accounting.
  • Highly efficient and organized self-starter who does not need to be over managed.
