Kindergarten Teacher

River View Local School District is looking to hire a kindergarten teacher for the  school year.

• Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
  :
  Teach grade-level subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, and social skills using age-appropriate, play-based, and hands-on methods.
• Lesson Planning
  :
  Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Ohio’s Academic Content Standards and the school’s curriculum, adapting for diverse learning needs.
• Classroom Management
  :
  Maintain a positive, structured environment, using routines and procedures to promote safety, respect, and engagement.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring
  :
  Use formal and informal assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Student Support
  :
  Work with intervention specialists to provide differentiated instruction for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Parent & Community Engagement
  :
  Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, collaborate with colleagues, and represent the school in community activities.
• Professional Development
  :
  Participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
• Technology Integration
  :
  Use appropriate technology for teaching, assessment, and record-keeping.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification
  :
  Ohio state teaching license for kindergarten.
• Experience
  :
  Prior experience in early childhood education, preschool, or as a teacher’s aide is often preferred.
• Skills
  :
  Strong communication, patience, creativity, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families.
