Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about optimizing building systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems that support vehicle production—including HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, and process piping. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure our facilities are safe, efficient, and built for scale.

- System Design & Optimization
- Design and specify mechanical systems for new and existing facilities.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and reliability.
- Support layout planning and utility infrastructure for new equipment installations.
- Project Execution
- Lead mechanical scope for facility expansion and upgrade projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution.
- Review and approve technical drawings, submittals, and commissioning plans.
- Maintenance & Reliability
- Partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues.
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies for critical systems.
- Monitor system health using BMS and CMMS tools.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local codes, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Support audits, inspections, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture of safety and sustainability in all facility operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
- PE license or EIT certification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in facilities engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with HVAC, boilers, compressed air, chilled water, and utility systems.
- Experience in designing fluid and air piping systems and HVAC duct work and controls.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent project management and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and sustainability initiatives.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
