Process Engineer, Closure & Bonding
Location: Warsaw, Indiana (relocation assistance provided.)
Overview: Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to the coating and bonding of vehicles. Focus on improving efficiency, quality, and safety within the production line.
Responsibilities- Process Design and Optimization – develop and implement systems and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs; design, run, test, and upgrade processes to enhance production rates and quality; conduct simulations and risk assessments.
- Quality Control – establish and maintain quality standards; monitor and analyze performance; implement best practices to improve product reliability.
- Technical Support – provide technical support and training; troubleshoot and resolve issues; collaborate with other departments.
- Safety and Compliance – ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations; develop safety procedures; document processes.
- Reporting – prepare and present regular reports on performance to senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of process engineering experience in coating or bonding, preferably automotive.
- 2+ years of experience in Fanuc closure (i.e., hood, doors and tailgate) cell automation.
- Preferred experience in PTED (Pre‑Treat Electro‑Deposition) or Bonding (Metal to Plastic).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
