Job Title: Project Engineering Manager – Tech Ops E2E Delivery
Location: Warsaw, Indiana, United States of America
Job Function: Supply Chain Engineering – Project Engineering – People Leader
- Develop an integrated end‑to‑end HIPS & SHOULDERS technology operations capability to deliver value stream metrics.
- Lead and manage a global technical function of 180+ personnel across four manufacturing sites, overseeing an annual budget of ~$15M and capital spend of ~$40M.
- Drive the introduction of manufacturing processes, capacity, and technologies to support growth volumes and achieve revenue generation of $1.75B+.
- Direct the roadmap and deployment of technologies for the HIPS & SHOULDERS portfolio in partnership with global engineering networks.
- Manage NPI delivery both internally and externally, ensuring projects run cost‑efficiently and meet scope and quality requirements.
- Lead product transfers across the HIP & SHOULDER manufacturing network to support strategy and portfolio alignment.
- Execute value capture plans and risk reduction strategies aligned with the long‑range financial plan.
- Build and maintain internal talent and capabilities, developing the E2E engineering delivery team to meet emerging portfolio needs.
- Champion diversity and inclusion, fostering an engaging “One Team” culture and promoting collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as a single point of contact for technical strategy and execution on the HIPS & SHOULDERS Value Stream team.
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs, quality systems, EHS, and regulatory requirements across all activities.
- Provide direct leadership to the E2E engineering program delivery team, enabling success in a highly matrixed environment.
- Support the digital and automation strategy for manufacturing sites, implementing advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Develop business cases to secure investment in NPI, technology implementation, and capacity introduction.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on process and delivery excellence.
- Co‑ordinate cross‑functional collaborations with MAM, R&D, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Regulatory teams.
- Maintain enthusiasm for customer focus and urgency within the delivery team.
- Contribute to the development of sponsor and stakeholder relationships for design‑to‑value initiatives.
- Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of senior operations/engineering management experience in a multinational life‑sciences organization.
- Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle strategies and global portfolio management.
- Expertise in managing people, processes, and technology transitions for new products.
- Proficiency in industry standards, investigations, compliance, and validation.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Experience with process improvement and capacity‑enabling methodologies.
- Statistical analysis, new‑product presentation, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferred:
Agile decision making, budget management, lean supply‑chain management, and inclusive leadership.
