As Spacecraft Analysis Engineer, you will bring rigorous, physics-grounded analysis to how our satellites are designed and operated, working closely with engineers across optical, mechanical, and other disciplines to make sure the spacecraft performs as intended, from the drawing board through to operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Analyze and improve the spacecraft and mission system‑level design, covering mission feasibility studies, R&D on the spacecraft's Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and system-level documentation, including trade‑off studies and block diagrams.
  • Own key spacecraft system calculations and validations, including power, delta‑v, and link budgets, along with optimal tasking schemes and attitude profiles, ensuring the interfaces between the space and ground segments of the mission perform as required.
  • Plan and analyze ground and on-orbit tests, and lead studies on system verification, preparing verification and validation (V&V) plans as part of that process.
  • Carry out studies on collision avoidance and safe deorbitation strategies to keep the spacecraft operating safely throughout its mission.
What we’re looking for

Must haves:

  • Degree in Space Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of fundamentals of physics in terms of space environment, attitude control, RF propagation, heat exchange, orbital dynamics, etc.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams including different engineering domains, operations, etc.
  • Ability to plan, perform and properly analyze results of an experiment or test.
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess and correctly judge severity of the technical problem.
  • Critical and analytical thinking.
  • Understanding of overall spacecraft system-level design, components and execution of the space mission.
  • Coding and data analysis skills in Python and/or Matlab.
  • Ability to work with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to take ownership of the task, plan and perform activities from start to finish.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, desire to learn new things.

Nice to haves:

  • Proficiency with digital mission engineering in STK.
  • Hands‑on experience with electronics lab equipment.
  • Experience with mission critical systems design and troubleshooting.
  • Relevant experience with complex systems design, implementation and operations.
  • Knowledge in mechanical CAD (Inventor) or thermal simulation (Simcenter) is a plus.
