Role OverviewWe are looking for a Cybersecurity Project Manager to join one of our public sector clients based in Warsaw. You'll lead cybersecurity projects from initiation through delivery, operating at the intersection of security governance and programme management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing cybersecurity projects across their full lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and to quality standards.
- Establishing and managing project controls, milestone and delivery processes.
- Identifying, tracking and communicating project risks, issues and scope changes.
- Liaising with the Project Board and key stakeholders.
- Assigning tasks, balancing priorities and motivating project team members.
- Producing project management artefacts: plans, logs, schedules and responsibility matrices.
- Preparing and presenting technical reports and project presentations.
- Organising and chairing project meetings.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- At least 10 years of IT experience and 8 years managing cybersecurity projects.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, risk management, defence-in-depth and Zero Trust architectures.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, or similar).
- In-depth understanding of the legal and ethical dimensions of cybersecurity.
- Advanced project management skills: risk, quality, vendor and procurement management.
- Outstanding stakeholder communication and negotiation skills — written and verbal, for both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience managing cybersecurity projects in EU classified or similarly regulated environments.
- Hands‑on experience with project tools and methodologies: PM2, PRINCE2, PMP, Service Now.
- At least 4 certifications required, split across two domains:
- At least 2 from Cybersecurity:
- CISSP (or equivalent)
- CISA (or equivalent)
- CISM (or equivalent)
- ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Associate (or equivalent)
- At least 2 from Project & IT Service Management:
- PM2 Advanced (or equivalent)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent)
- PMP (or equivalent)
- ITIL Foundation (or equivalent)
- At least 2 from Cybersecurity:
- English B2 level certification or higher.
Nice to have:
- Broad architectural background with full‑lifecycle experience delivering IT security solutions.
- Experience managing resources, budgets, and priorities across a portfolio of cybersecurity investments.
- Familiarity with EU institutional procurement and governance processes.
