Data Architect / Data Modeller (Onshore)
Role
Summary:
Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for the Data Mesh platform on Snowflake — including data modeling, security design, RBAC/RLS, anonymization, and governance alignment.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for 9 source systems and 2 MVP data products
- Define Snowflake account architecture (RAW/CURATED/GOLD layers, warehouse sizing, retention policies)
- Design RBAC hierarchy, Row-Level Security, and column masking policies (SHA-256 hashing for PHI/PII)
- Own naming standards, service user key-pair authentication, network policies, and MFA enforcement
- Review pipeline patterns and enforce Data Mesh interoperability policies
- Support ZB Info Sec reviews and HIPAA compliance sign-offs
- Guide CI/CD promotion path (Dev → Test → Prod) via Azure Dev Ops
Skills:
- 12+ years in data architecture, with 3+ years on Snowflake (Snow Pro Advanced certification preferred)
- Deep expertise in dimensional & data vault modeling
- Hands-on with Azure Data Factory, dbt, Azure Key Vault, Pulumi IaC
- Data Mesh principles (Domain Ownership, Data as a Product, Federated Governance)
- HIPAA / PHI / PII compliance experience (healthcare/life sciences preferred)
- Good-to-Have:
Erwin/ER Studio, TOGAF certification, Horizon Data Catalog, Life Sciences domain
