CNC Programmer – Engineering Tech V
Location:
Warsaw, Indiana. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring quality for life‑saving medical devices.

- Develop all CNC machining program code.
- Review engineering drawings and recommend changes via the change control system.
- Provide technical support to engineers for cycle‑time, yield, cost, quality, safety, and compliance improvements.
- Monitor instruments and equipment; collect operating data (calibration, inspection, testing, repair) to support online adjustments.
- Analyze and resolve malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems.
- Conduct analysis and prepare reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting, and root‑cause analyses.
- Maintain process designs to optimize equipment and facility use while conforming to SOPs and GMPs.
- Execute change control policy and CAPA activities per policy.
- Collaborate in cross‑functional teams executing risk management activities (e.g., pFMEA).
- Create conceptual designs for new fixtures and special cutting tools; conduct tool design reviews with tooling, purchasing, and suppliers.
- Recommend plant layout, machine platforms, and capital equipment requirements; specify required capital tool holders.
- Develop manufacturing setup sheets for all machining operations for new products.
- Support equipment suppliers on specifications, quoting, and delivery schedules.
- Review product drawings for manufacturability; initiate drawing changes with product design engineers.
- Execute and support validation and qualification studies; provide input to strategy development.
- Support product launches, transfers, and core business initiatives.
- Lead training of new team members and training on new CNC machine programs, machining processes, or equipment.
- Travel as required for company business needs.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD 93/42 EEC, PAL, CMDR, and 21
CFRPart
820 regulations. - Strong oral and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Team‑work skills and willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with CAM/CAD software:
Mastercam, Pro/E, Vericut. - Direct machining support experience: creating new programs, troubleshooting, and updating existing programs.
- Advanced understanding of machine platforms such as mills, chucks, and Swiss‑style lathes.
- Experience troubleshooting machining issues and developing tools, fixtures, and programming solutions.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
