Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who is also a builder. As Assistant Plant Manager, you will partner closely with the Plant Manager to lead daily operations and help guide the facility from early operations through scale.

This role will be instrumental in developing teams, establishing strong operating foundations, and driving continuous improvement while balancing startup speed with safe, high-quality execution. It is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is excited to build systems, strengthen culture, and make a meaningful impact on a growing manufacturing operation.

What You Get To Do

-Partner with the Plant Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations and execute the facility's long-term scaling strategy.

-Help lead and develop cross-functional teams across Production, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, and Safety.

-Build and strengthen plant operating systems, routines, and standards, continuously improving them as the organization grows.

-Drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People through clear expectations, accountability, and transparency.

-Partner closely with Engineering and Program teams to support new product introduction, process development, and rapid production ramp-ups.

-Champion a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining the agility required in a growing organization.

-Maintain a visible presence on the production floor, leading root-cause analysis and implementing timely, sustainable countermeasures.

-Support the hiring, development, and growth of leaders and teams capable of scaling with the business.

-Assist with plant budgets, capital investments, workforce planning, and resource prioritization in a capital-conscious environment.

-Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, teamwork, and results-oriented collaboration.

-Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, contributing to broader manufacturing and business strategy.

-Step in for the Plant Manager as needed to ensure continuity of leadership and operational execution.

What You Bring To The Team

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

-10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including plant, production, or operations management responsibility.

-Experience in automotive, electric vehicle, battery, or another high-mix or high-growth manufacturing environment is preferred.

-Demonstrated ability to build teams, processes, and organizational structure in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.

-Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence, combined with practical problem-solving skills.

-Ability to remain hands-on and engaged with daily operations while thinking strategically about growth and scale.

-Strong business judgment and the ability to balance speed, cost, quality, safety, and long-term sustainability.

-Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust across hourly, technical, and leadership teams.

-A resilient, adaptable approach and enthusiasm for the challenges and opportunities of a growing organization.
