Plant Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, production scheduling, quality control, safety, maintenance, and personnel management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. The Plant Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

• Plan and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production schedules, manage production budgets and scheduling personnel, and optimize resources to meet production targets.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including supervisors and line workers.
• Foster a positive work culture, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage staffing levels and schedule employees to meet production demands.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate raw materials and supplies.
• Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to streamline material flow.
• Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.
• Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics.
• Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications.
• Address and resolve quality issues promptly to maintain product integrity.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Plant Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
