Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with IN or compact licensure and critical care experience for a night shift travel assignment.

Job Details

• Work in a 14-bed ICU and Progressive Care unit within a 72-bed hospital,

• Care for critically ill, vent-dependent patients, IV drips, IV sedation, and post-procedure recoveries,

• Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with every third weekend required,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• May float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry with 6:1 ratios as needed,

• ICU nurse-to-patient ratios range from 2:1 to 3:1, up to 1:5 for MS overflow,

• Uses Cerner EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required,

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required,

• Current driver's license required,

• Minimum 1-2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience,

• No experience handling ECMO or trauma ERRT required,

• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted),

• All certifications must be valid for at least the first 30 days of assignment,

• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Provide care to critically ill and vent-dependent patients,

• Occasionally responsible for post-procedure recovery care after hours,

• Block scheduling is not offered for this position,

• RTO (requested time off) must be less than 1 week,

• Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible,

• Must be able to submit required licensure, certifications, and a valid driver's license for consideration,
