About the companyMy client is an innovative American automotive manufacturer focused on redefining affordable electric mobility. They are developing a new generation of purpose-built electric vehicles with an emphasis on simplicity, modular design, and customer customisation.
They are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Warsaw, Indiana.
Job Description:- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test suites for software and embedded systems.
- Perform functional, regression, UAT, and live environment testing across platforms.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Analyse system requirements and translate them into detailed test documentation and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and business analysts to ensure product readiness.
- Support the implementation of Agile practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Evaluate product performance post-release using analytics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain quality documentation including FSDs, PRDs, and mock-ups.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members on QA processes and tools.
- Risk minimization through use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for special characteristics.
- Support the development and maintenance of FMEA’s and control plans
- Support the definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and manufacturing to ensure product quality.
- Support the planning and evaluation of product test drives within quality and approvals of functions and systems.
- Provide quality support to the technical and manufacturing teams, as well as drive/support daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Higher Diploma in Software Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, and business analysis.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
- Proficiency in QA tools such as Jira, You Track, and test management platforms.
- Experience with cross-platform testing and bug tracking.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (preferred).
- PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner (preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with global collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for cross-functional collaboration.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain rigorous quality documentation.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments and willingness to innovate in quality assurance technologies.
