Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install and perform preventative maintenance inspections on machine tool equipment.
• Use online technical documents, how-to videos and checklists to provide guidance on all maintenance procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customers regarding status of services provided.
• Participate in training during onboarding; prior CNC experience is a plus but not required.

• Perform related duties as required.

• Demonstrated ability in mechanical or electrical repair and/or maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and how-to guides.
• Software experience such as Microsoft Office; use of laptop, smartphone and various software applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Regularly lift 40-50 pounds.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Flexible hours and frequent regional travel; dispatched daily from home to customer sites.

• Ability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites with tight timelines, changing priorities and customer interaction.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
• Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise electrical, mechanical and diagnostic work.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips and other manufacturing conditions while consistently wearing required PPE.
